Like other allergic conditions, including hay fever, and eczema, asthma often runs in families. Researchers believe America’s high rates of asthma are a result of a marked decrease in Vitamin C in our diet. This is partly due to unsustainable farming practices which deplete our food of nutrients and partly insufficient high Vitamin C foods in our diets. Studies have shown a correlation between wheezing and a diet lacking in fruits and vegetables. People who eat a diet high in fresh organic produce have been shown to have the healthiest lung function.

Food Allergies can be a huge trigger for asthma. Some foods that often trigger asthma are sugar, dairy foods, and wheat. Most asthma sufferers are sensitive to food additives, sprayed produce, animal dander, and molds. Adult asthma is aggravated by adrenal exhaustion, hypoglycemia, and GERD (gastrointestinal reflux disease). Pollutant irritants like smoke, chemical toxins, and factory emissions, colds, flu, or pneumonia infections can bring on a flare in asthma attacks. As an asthma sufferer myself, I know all the things trigger my asthma. I didn’t develop asthma until my 30’s and I firmly believe it was caused or at least exacerbated by adrenal exhaustion. I was under extreme stress for a prolonged period, then I began to get ill often and then it developed into asthma. My asthma is now under good control because I have eliminated much of the extreme stress, changed my diet, and watch environmental triggers closely. Some people’s asthma can be controlled naturally depending on the severity and the asthmatics’ ability to control their breathing.

During an asthma attack the asthmatic’s lungs and airways become red, swollen, and full of thick mucus. Bronchial spasms constrict airways, then inflamed, constricted airways to react, often progressively, to triggers asthma attacks. Drug-free natural therapies can help reduce the need for medication. Still, emergency medical measures may be necessary to stop severe attacks, which can be life threatening. Medical Marijuana Infused Drinks

Medical Marijuana can be a treatment for asthma. Vaporizing is safer than smoking, more natural, and just as effective for asthma. Vaporizing is safer for asthmatics because it heats your medicine to a point just short of combustion, releasing all the positive effects of your medicine and none of the particles and noxious fumes. If you don’t have a vaporizer you can try eatables, it will take longer for them to take effect, however the effects generally last longer. Vaporizing is more of a long term management treatment than a rescue medication. It is also much faster, more direct, and more effective for asthma than pharmaceuticals. Medical Marijuana vapor goes directly to the airways and lungs, the area you are treating, therefore you will get faster relief than you do from eatables which have to go through the digestive system. There are many people on both sides of this issue, as there are with all uses of Marijuana, whether it’s being used for asthma to chronic pain and everything in between. Best Reasons Why Marijuana Should Be Legalized

Studies also show the lungs of otherwise healthy men who have smoked equivalent to one joint daily for seven years have 1.25% more efficient airflow than the lungs of otherwise healthy non-marijuana-smoking men. However, researchers raise the possibility that years of toking practice—sucking hard, holding the breath, exhaling slowly—might be the airflow-altering factor rather than cannabis itself. They also repost that after seven “joint-years,” the airflow increase goes into reverse.

*On a personal note: I smoke, vape, and make and eat medicated eatables, and have asthma. I use medical marijuana primarily to treat chronic pain, however I have noticed my asthma is much better since I began using medical marijuana. If I have a sinus infection or bronchitis I can only use eatables, no smoking or vaping for me. However, when I’m not sick smoking and vaping doesn’t seem to effect my breathing at all. I have considered the risks, but I feel the benefit out way the risk and are much better than the side effects of long term pharmaceuticals. I have also added CBD Oil for pain management and I have noticed my asthma has improved even more. I am off all my inhalers and haven’t had any issues. This is a major improvement and I highly recommend CBD Oil for asthma and many other conditions.  CBD Oil Will it help you? What is it? Is it Legal in my State?
